The second release for Vesuvius Soul Records is a far out and retro-futuristic freakdance 12” from the mysterious duo Computer Rage. The illusive forces behind this project deliver two tracks of psychosomatic stimulation, and in “Digital Desire,” electro rhythms, prowling basslines, and soaring neon pads support liquid lasers and distorted mechatronic vocals as they spit spells of dystopian techno punk sorcery. As for “In the Void,” space age disco drums groove through Hi-NRG starfields and the stereo spectrum is littered with strange cyborg vocal loops as the body is mystified by hypnotic percussive patterns, heatwave pad swells, and earworm synth licks.
